Felt Raincoat Cat

It’s been a rainy week here so I guess it’s an appropriate weather to share with you this cat-on-a-raincoat plushy I’ve made.


I had this book called One Stitch at a Time around for a while and it was about time to use it. The book is in fact a kit, and it comes with instructions and patters for making 3 toys: cat, dog and rabbit, but the materials included are just for the cat.

Jumping Clay: a review

I learned about the existence of this modelling clay a pair of weeks ago when a friend from work told me about it and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard about it before! I’ve tried polymer clays like Fimo and Sculpey and I hate the baking part. I get anxious when it’s in the oven, and I always have this irrational fear that it’s all going to be burned or damaged, or that the oven is going to explode…. A non-toxic, eco-friendly, easy mixing, inexpensive, air draying clay? It almost seemed too good to be true. So I had to try it… and this is my review.

Portable artist station

I tend to see the artistic potential in the things other people discard: a piece of cardboard, a button, a sheet of foam… I think twice before throwing away anything that comes to my hands, because I never know when I am going to need it. This habit results in serious storage problems in my house but it also makes possible to improvise some crafts when the inspiration calls. So, when one day I found myself with some felt pens, a box of colour pencils and scraps of fabric, I knew I had a nice opportunity to create something.
